The Federal Court is Canada's national trial court which hears and decides legal disputes arising in the federal domain. The Court is based in Ottawa, and its members travel throughout Canada to hear cases within its national jurisdiction, thereby providing convenient access to justice to all Canadians.

Due to maintenance on our network, e-filing and several other of the Court’s electronic systems and tools will be unavailable on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 7 am ET to 7 pm ET.

If your matter is urgent and needs to be dealt with during that period, call the after-hours Duty Officer. You must speak with a Duty Officer and obtain instructions before filing any material.

REMINDER: Urgent matters include stays of removal, stays of release from detention and injunctions.
